Long scale, excellent condition except for a cross grain break in the treble side. Martin converted their 000 models from long to short scale in early 1934, taking off 1/2" to lessen tension from the predominant heavy gauge strings of the period. Nowadays we have light gauge strings and can benefit from that extra bit of tension: the action can be lower, the guitar has more projection, can handle a stronger touch thus increasing its dynamic range. This 000 as a result has quite a powerful, rich tone. There's finish wear below the fingerboard and pickguard and in one spot on the back, a casebite at the armpit, minor pick scratching, and finish checking on the top The action is at 7/64" and 5/64" at the 12th fret; for lower action it would need a neck reset. All parts appear to be original except for the bridge, which is a perfect replacement by Matty Umanov.
