A like-new Schoenberg from Bruce Sexauer, this is a 14-fret 00 that we make with OM scale length, thus it's a 00/OM to us. We're committed fans of long scale, and have discovered that the scale length has more to do with the ultimate sound of a guitar than the size of the body. Just play a couple notes on this guitar and you'll see what we mean. Other than this one change, this guitar is built close to original spec of a top grade 1929 Martin - absolutely incredible old Brazilian rosewood and bearclawed European spruce. One other change from vintage is the cutaway. We can't resist the urge to maximize reach, and if someone tells you it detracts from the tone, ask them to prove it: they can't.
In Martin terms, this model would be a Style 44, one of the reasons we call it Soloist. Thus, it is the highest grade without the "bling". Bound in ivoroid with seven bands of extremely fine maple and ebony purfling, Waverly butterbean tuners, inlayed ivoroid peghead logo, miniscule short pattern slotted diamond fretboard inlays, traditional flat V neck shape, unbelievably killer tonewoods.
