A particularly beautiful 12-fret 000 cutaway started in the Schoenberg Guitars shop in Littleton, MA and completed here in California after Schoenberg's move from the Least Coast to the Best Coast. It's a 12-fret 000 body with cutaway, out of stunning flamed koa and Engelmann or European spruce. As is typical with Schoenbergs, the construction is very light, and very close to Martins circa 1929, including the style of neck shape. It has a varnish finish which gives it a rich violin shading. The tone is sweet, rich, flute-like in the treble and full and open in the bass.
