A very special guitar, one of the great Teles, in excellent, mostly original condition. Formerly owned by Vince Gallo, he said this about the '53 in an interview with Tom Wheeler in GP Mag: "Once I heard a friend playing in a pizzeria. He had a Tele with very heavy strings, .013 through .058. It was the best jazz guitar sound I've ever heard. And it is extraordinary, one of those guitars where everything comes together, and the whole is just so right. It has so much juice: the sound, the feel of the neck, the way the butterscotch finish has mellowed over the years." So Mr. Gallo bought the guitar. It's our favorite Tele--and we've sold others to Keith Richards!
Neck dated 4/23/53 by TG (Tadeo Gomez), serial #4206, great fat neck, refretted with oversize frets, weighs 7.5 oz., includes original Thermometer case (funky) and copy of the book "The Blackguard" with same serial number as the guitar. See the photos for pics of the insides.
