As in any guitar made by John Slobod, the fit and finish of this maple-bodied Circa are exemplary. With its maple neck and highly flamed back & sides, its also a looker - fans of guitar porn need search no further! Tonally, the full warm of a 12-fret guitar is captured here, with terrific balance everywhere on the neck. Specifically, this is a guitar of such clarity that notes seem to push through the air with precision. And though it's just a 00, John has made this a bit larger than a typical Martin. It's 14-½" wide at the lower bout and 4-⅛" deep. This seems to provide the good bass and the guitar's overall mellowness. We like the string spacing: 1-¾" at the nut and 2-5/16" at the saddle. And, again, it's a Circa - what's not to like?
