This is a telecaster-inspired guitar built by Morgan Daniel, a builder and repairer of stringed instruments in Mendocino, CA. The body is select Swamp Ash with a Mendocino Sinker Redwood top, curly maple binding and half/herringbone purfling. The maple neck has a birdseye maple fretboard (modern "C" profile, 9.5 in. radius). The top of the guitar is finished with nitrocellulose lacquer; the neck is finished with Tru-oil for a beautifully smooth feel. The peghead shape featured on this guitar was originally designed by Morgan for StringBender Musical Instruments (Gene Parsons) and can be seen on StingBender's custom guitars. The electronics are hand-wired by Morgan and feature Porter 9T Tele pickups and a treble-bleed circuit for maintaining rich tone even as the volume is rolled off. Hardware includes a Wilkinson three-saddle compensated bridge and Kluson-style tuners. www.morgandaniel.com or on Facebook as Morgan Daniel Guitars.
