  • All Solid Hand-Carved Flame Maple and Spruce

Product Description

Guild started off as a serious jazz guitar maker, coming out of two factors: the procliveties of its founding father, Al Dronge, and the culture taken over from the Epiphone company, which was bought and moved away from New York by Gibson, with much of its skillrd workforce being taken up by the new Guild company in Hoboken, NJ. The Artist Award was Guild's top of the line acoustic archtop, built in the tradition of the great hand-builders, with fully hand-carved flame maple back and sides and spruce top, cutaway, composite pearl and abalone fretboard inlays, slim neck and gold Grover Imperials. This one is in virtually flawless condition, with a Bartolini floating pick-up (the original is in the case.)
