This is the higher grade version, with rosewood back and sides, always a gigantic plus in vintage Gibsons, and pearl inlaid fretboard. It's been played a lot, visibly, and the 5-piece maple and walnut neck has been narrowed to 1 11/16" (without changing the 2 ⅜" bridge spacing), finished natural and the peghead veneer and tuners replaced. There's a repaired area on the lower side and the back and sides have been refinished. That all being said, it sounds incredible! With two scalloped tone bars and the fact that it has been played so much, it has a wide-open, extremely rich and powerful voice, the deepest sound I've ever heard coming out of a guitar, with infinite headroom (LOUD!). .
