An extremely rare and fine custom 12-fret 000, with the wonderful Brazilian rosewood that we find from the 1960s. This guitar was owned by a first class professional session player in Dallas and LA who'd bought it new in New York and played it extensively till 2011 when his health curtailed his playing and he sold it to a friend of mine who'd been lusting after it for a couple decades. This and two prototype 000-28S's were made at the same time, when Martin's only 12-fret necks were from the 00-21, so these three were made with 00-21 necks. As a result, they are short scale with Brazilian rosewood fingerboards. It shows the signs of having been used a lot but is in excellent structural condition. There are no cracks and it's had a recent reset, frets, forgery grade bridge and new tuners by our repair person. The most important thing: this guitar is among the best sounding Martins ever!
