This little guy is not for collectors - it's experienced. I'm sure it has a lot of stories to tell if it could talk. It certainly can sing! It's what is called a Terz guitar, meaning it's tuned the third higher, actually a minor third, to G. There have been a number of repairs: repaired cracks, something done to the peghead to have caused the addition of a veneer on the back, some finish added to the top, the top has bellied quite a bit; these are the kind of ancient repairs we see that were done long before our current golden age of old Martin repair. Believe me, I've seen a whole lot worse. This one is quite playable, and has been stable for decades. The braces are all original, the Brazilian rosewood is the finest ever, the neck is nice with decent playable action, the planetary tuners work fine. Above all, this guitar sounds absolutely phenomenal. It's loud, clear, full, and will carry a melody line through the loudest instruments in the band.
