Product Description
This superb 12-fret 000 cutaway was custom made in Schoenberg Guitars' Massachusetts shop, out of Adirondack spruce and Brazilian rosewood. The woods are spectacular; the rosewood is classic dark-with-plenty-of-spider webbing (the thin black lines running thru the brown,) the spruce is super tight grain that's flowing with silk flame, the construction is very light, closer to a late 1920s Martin than anything else, plus an earlier style grafted headstock and french polish finish. It is a very powerful-sounding guitar, with a bright and clear treble, something I would expect from combining Adirondack with Brazilian, and the power and depth that shows up in the very best 12-fret 000s. There's an interesting reverb affect that encircles the overall sound. The experience of this guitar is like finding an original 1927 000-28 with a cutaway and in perfect, original condition.
