SCHOENBERG STANDARD 12-FRET
ENGLEMANN & COCOBOLA
We do the Schoenberg Standard because of the unique quality of sound that resides only in the 12-fret body. There's a throaty, rich tone that combines with an openness, a freeing-up of tone that is very exciting. The pictured Standard is a 00-size cutaway out of Engelmann spruce and cocobola back & sides.
12 frets to the body, 00 or 000 size
Available as cutaway or non-cutaway
Ivoroid binding
All wood purflings and rosette
Nut width: 1-13/16"
String spacing at bridge: 2 5/16"
Scale: 25.4"
(left) Our new peghead inlayEric has been playing with this design on the computer (Adobe Illustrator) for years. It began as a scan from a photo of a rare Stewart banjo, and has been altered to fit the shape of this peghead. Final clean-up and execution was by Bruce Sexauer, the builder of this guitar.
