High quality carved-top tenor guitars are extremely hard to find. This one is the tenor version of an early 16" L-7, which in themselves are quite rare. It is tastefully adorned with white celluloid binding on body, board and peghead, with the pearl script "Gibson" and large fleur-de-lis on the peghead with Nick Lucas style inlays on the board, which is elevated. It has an old factory refinish, and otherwise is in excellent condition, with super low string action. It still has its original bridge and Grover barrel-style banjo tuners. Sunburst spruce top, maple sides and back, original two band Grover tuning pegs, original tailpiece and adjustable bridge. The label is in fine shape and displays Serial # 91149. And it has its original hard shell case.
