Product Description
A successful conversion done for a Chicago jazz guitarist who had played this L-7C for many years and, upon switching to 7-string, sent it to Bob Benedetto for the new neck. It's a 17" body, now with a scale length of 25 1/2" and a nut width of 2". Materials are hand-carved solid spruce top, highly figured tiger-flame maple back, three-piece maple maple neck and ebony fingerboard. Benedetto set it up with his hand-carved ebony pickguard, tailpiece , bridge, his signature floating pickup and Gold Grover Imperial tuners. The neck is beautiful, with tiger flame maple and Carpathian elm burl peghead veneer and backstrap with Bob's pearl logo and tasteful inlay.
