By Joel Whitehead, a long time repairman for Norm's Rare Guitars and now repairing and building full time out of his shop in Woodland Hills, CA. This guitar is Joel's peaen to the OM-45 Deluxe of 1930, Martin's highest grade catalogued model, of which only 12 were made. The traditional specs of this guitar are the abalone purflings at every joint, the pearl flower inlaid into the pickguard, abalone snowflakes in the bridge wings, the long scale, the 1 ¾" nut width and the 15" 000 body. Materials appear to be Brazilian rosewood and European, Engelmann or Adirondack spruce. It is a pre-sold instrument still in mint condition.
